BACK TO SCHOOL!

yala..la3bna kiteer....more than enough and now it's time to study a bit!...come on! balash el kasal da and pick up some more English. Humor me and look at my blog! Maybe you'll learn something from it! Maybe my blog is not so advanced, but learning from the Net is the in thing...or do you belong to the old school?
Learning English is as easy as ABC but you still got to study. Or do you want to play hooky and still make the grade?

You've goofed off enough this summer, so it's time now to hit the books! But you don't have to be a bookworm to improve your English, eventhough that would help a bit. But you have to practice a lot and that means daily! You know, I'm doing this blog off the top of my head, so it's not exactly the way I want it to be...but come on...give me a break! I'm trying my best. So, tell me now...what do all the bolded expressions mean?

as easy as ABC = something very easy to do.

play hooky = not going to school (or work) when you should. Ya3nee ti zawagh min school or work.

make the grade = to pass an exam or just to succeed. eya no3 min el nagah.

goof off = not doing anything serious; fooling around.

hit the books = to study hard. tizaker gamid.

bookworm = a person who likes to read a lot.

off the top of my head = when you do think of something or do something without

planning, or too much effort. ta3mel haga min gheir tafkeer kiteer.

give me a break = irhamouneeeeeeeeeee!!
